Story and future plans

Woodbrooke Design

Woodbrooke Design came originally through a love of design and problem solving. For years I have worked in film production and more recently at Aardman animations, working on films such as Robin Robin, Farmageddon, Chicken Run and the latest Wallace and Gromit film. Aardman is a very creative environment to be a part of and helps craft the belief that if you can't find the thing you are looking for then design and make it.

I grew up on the edge of Dartmoor with green everywhere and I now live in an old Victorian terraced house in Bristol with limited light and space. I love Bristol but miss the greenery. This led to the design of the plant holders and shelves. I wanted to design a simple plant holder that was a very strong unit, easy to move plants around, water but most importantly wall mounted to maximise the use of limited light and window space.

Since having kids the limited space and sheer amount of stuff has led me to designing shoe and boot racks to fit in a narrow area and have a number of other designs and ideas that I would like to bring out in the coming months. Follow my website or Instagram for all future updates. Thank you for taking a look,

Joe from Woodbrooke Design.
